'63 Ford GalaxieIn the 1970s, television viewers were treated to some fun characters, like the Bionic Woman, Wonder Woman, and the cast of Hawaii 5-0. The characters were bigger than life and they drove iconic cars. These are a few of the best 1970s characters and their vehicles:

Datsun 280Z: As a spin-off from the Six Million Dollar Man, the Bionic Woman took the idea of female strength and determination to an extreme. Jaime Sommers was the Bionic Woman who was put back together after a skydiving accident. She was given extraordinary hearing, strong arms, legs that could run 60 miles per hour, and excellent taste in automobiles. Her car of choice was the strikingly fast and attractive Datsun 280Z. Her sky blue Datsun 280Z appeared in most of the episodes as well as the Six Million Dollar Man episodes where she appeared as a guest star.

'74 Ford Gran TorinoFibe-Ron Boonie Buggy: This might not have been the everyday car of Wonder Woman, but it sure was an amazing vehicle. In the 1970s show, Diana Prince, played by Lynda Carter, had her very own invisible plane and she was able to get behind the wheel of several iconic cars. Some of the others were the Ford LTD, the Mercedes Benz 450SL,  and the Chevy Monte Carlo.

Ford Galaxie 500: Hawaii Five-O didn’t just have great cars, but it also had a beautiful scenery. The show was filmed in Honolulu and the characters drove tough and fast cars. Danno was the character who drove the most variety and the coolest car he drove was the 1966 Ford Galaxie 500. As the show moved through the years, Danno also drove a few other Fords, like the 1969 and 1970 Ford Customs.

Ford Gran Torino: Starsky and Hutch had one cool car, the red and white 1976 Ford Galaxie. A pair of matching cars were given to the show by the Ford Motor Company. When the show was finished, the cars were auctioned off by Ford.

1963 Ford GalaxiePontiac Firebird Esprit: Many people identify the Pontiac Firebird with the popular Smokey and the Bandit film, but this popular car also played a major role in The Rockford Files. James Garner played Jim Rockford who worked as a private investigator. As he traveled from case to case, he did so in style, driving around in his very own 1974 Pontiac Firebird Esprit in copper mist.
