2011 Frankenmuth Auto Festival: September 9-11

How much fun would it be to have a German ambiance, flowing German beer, entertainment and your favorite collector cars on display?  This fun is a reality at the Frankenmuth Auto Festival held in Frankenmuth, Michigan from September 9-11th.  This festival, hosted by Country Street Machines, features activities that will entertain the entire family. From the car show, to the famous downtown shopping, to the two Championship par-72 golf courses (The Fortress and Timbers Golf Club), to the excellent restaurant and pubs, everyone will be happy!

Here is the schedule of events for the weekend:


Friday:8am-5pm: Show Car Registration at Schaefer and Bierlein Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth and Jeep
* you must register your car by 5pm to be allowed to show your car that evening
5pm-10pm: BIG BLOCK PARTY on Main Street. This will offer live bands, vendors and over 2000

Saturday: *free shuttle service is being offered from 10am-12:30pm

7am:  Pancake breakfast at the Lions Club
7am-5pm:  Show car registration at the dealership
9am-5pm:  Door prizes, vendors, entertainment, food and beverages
11am-12:45pm:  Ronald McDonald and his classic car Meet and Greet followed by a 1pm magic
show at Satow Pavilion
1pm:  Water Ski Show on Cass River by Silver Lake Ski Club
5pm-midnight:  OLDIES FEST in Heritage Park Pavilion.  This will feature dancing, food, beverages and live music by Joe Billingslea & the Contours and Teen Angels ($10 admission).

Sunday: *free shuttle service will be offered from 9am-2pm

7am: Pancake breakfast at the Lions Club
7am-11am:  Show car registration at the dealership, door prizes, vendors and entertainment
1pm:  Show Car Award Ceremony
– 60 Authentic German beer steins awarded by category from fellow car enthusiasts
– Car jackets to top 25 picks
– Special Veterans presentation

So, if you are interested in joining the fun, admission is $4/day or $6 for a 3-day pass.  Children 12 and under are free.  Registration for your car to be in the show is $20 (pre-register) or $25 at the show.  They also offer packages that include tickets to the Oldies Fest and t-shirts.  All of the proceeds go to local charities.  Go to www.frankenmuthautofest.com to check them out.
