Fast and Furious: The Fastest and Most Furious Cars in the Film Series

1971 Dodge ChargerIn 2001, the movie industry was changed forever when The Fast and the Furious movie franchise began. This movie and the five sequels have continued to fill theaters with people who love fast cars, heists, and street racing. With actors like Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, and Jordana Brewster driving some of the hottest cars to ever appear on the big screen, it is no wonder that the movie is considered a feast for the senses. These are some of the most memorable cars to grace the screen:

1991 Nissan SkylineNissan Skyline: Before the movie franchise, no one knew about the Nissan Skyline, because it was not sold in the United States. The 1999 GT-R R34 model was restored to take nitrous and to light up the street with blue neon undercar lights. Everyone who loves modified Asian cars fell head-over-heels in love with the blue and silver Skyline that appeared in the second movie.

Dodge Daytona Charger: The 1969 Dodge Daytona Charger took street racing to an entirely different level. Vin Diesel’s character drove a 1970 Charger in the early films, but the 1969 version is a rare treat for the sixth film. The aero car was modified to lift the sloping nose, the classic Dodge Daytona Charger three-foot wing stayed in place.

Dodge Charger: Yes, the 1969 is the epitome of coolness, but the 1970 Charger R/T that appeared in the first movie was fast and furious. The car was a striking contrast to the neon-colored import cars that raced down the streets. It just screamed speed and power.

RX7 MazdaMazda RX-7: The Tokyo Drift movie star was the Mazda RX-7 Veilside with the wide-body style that was originally honored with the Grand Prix award at a Tokyo auto show. The horsepower topped at 306, which made the car extremely exciting to watch in the street races.

The Ramp Car: This car was so cool simply because it brought back memories of the Mad Max movies. It did not look like anything else on the screen, with the nearest relative being the Batman Tumbler. The Ramp Car was hot not because of its looks, but because of its role to victimize the cars that it rolled under to flip.
