Truck Trader Classic

0308cl_simplicity01_zAs a truck trader, classic vehicles are just one way to earn a living. Collecting vintage cars has long been a popular pastime, but trucks are starting to catch up. Classic trucks from Ford and Chevy pick-ups to early Willys Jeeps to the first SUVs of the 1960s, and everything in between are becoming more and more popular as collectibles. If you get in on the market, you can get a great classic truck for your personal collection or next project, you can get into trading and make a profit.

A classic pick-up from Chevy or Ford, a vintage Dodge truck, or an old Jeep; all are very much in right now. You almost can’t go wrong with any choice of older truck, as long as you are smart about your purchase, your restoration, and the final sale. For a truck trader, classic, vintage, and antique trucks are not hard to find. You just need to do your homework, get a good deal, and sell it on to a collector.

Refrain from choosing a truck simply on the basis of your own personal tastes. Learn what buyers want and pick out models accordingly. If you are working as a truck trader, classic trucks must be carefully selected in this way if you hope to make money.

Also take care to fully inspect a truck before you pay for it and take it home. In particular, look out for rust. If a body has too much rust, you will spend countless hours, and way too much money trying to get it into a suitable state. Choose trucks that are largely rust-free above all else. Make sure you know the fair market value for what you are buying before trying to get the best deal, and before you sell it on to the next collector. When you take the time to do it right, trading in classic trucks can be both profitable and enjoyable.
