Fast, Furious, and Overlooked
When you are in the mood to feast your eyes on the most amazing cars, The Fast and Furious films will fill your need. The modified cars with specially tuned engines seem to float down the road. Whether you love the newest exotics or the classic muscle cars, you will see some of the most unbelievable cars ever to hit the roads. Unfortunately, several of the cars are replicas either because the cars were destroyed in the film or the an original was not available. While many of the cars have become superstars of their own, there are some other ones that have often been overlooked. Here are a few of them:
Alfa Romeo Giulietta: In Furious 6, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta was one of the overlooked cars. This red hotrod was in a car chase at the airport. The 2010 Alfa Romeo Giulietta was not a big seller overseas and it was not for sale in the US. Despite the lack of popularity, it was still an interesting choice for the Fast and Furious movies.
Lexus 300 GS: In the first Fast and Furious movie, there are several cars that have become legendary, like the Acura Integra, Dodge Charger, and Honda Civic Coupe, but one beautiful car made a small, but significant appearance. The Lexus 300 GS made a brief appearance and added a certain bit of class to the rest of the cars. While most of the other cars were built for drifting and speed, but the 1998 Lexus GS was all business. Lexus remains a top brand of luxury automobiles, but the 1990s were the real hey-day of the car company and the GS was a top choice.
Ford Escort RS1600: The Ford Escort does not have a top reputation in the US, other than for being a compact car that was a good little city car. But, in Furious 6, the Ford Escort is one tough car, especially since it outlasted the Ford Mustang in the film. You might not think of a Ford Escort, and this is exactly why it is an overlooked car in the film.
