Mustang Club of America
For Mustang lovers there is no bigger or better enthusiasts club than the Mustang Club of America. Bringing together fans of this classic Ford from around the country, the Mustang Club of America is dedicated to the enjoyment, preservation, and history of all types and years of Mustangs. The club has its beginnings in 1976 when four men came together in Georgia to discuss creating a group for those who revere this classic American car.
Although the name of the club, and its beginnings, suggest that the Mustang Club of America is a domestic group only, it is really an international organization. The club is the largest of its kind in the world, and although most members are Americans, there are also worldwide dues-paying members.
With membership in the Mustang Club of America comes the camaraderie of other enthusiasts. Through online forums, regional and local clubs, and events, members can come together to discuss the ownership and enjoyment of their Mustangs as well as share advice on fixes, parts, and customizing. Members also get a subscription to the monthly Mustang Times and free advertising in the magazine, discounts at national shows, access to judging manuals, and the chance to become certified Mustang judges.
The shows might be the number one draw for most members of the Mustang Club of America. To truly enjoy the car, showing and attending shows is the ultimate. Every year in the spring and summer the club holds a handful of national shows. A few shows are held in different locations to give all members the best chance to attend.
In addition to the national events, regional and local clubs hold their own shows. These are great opportunities to show off cars, to view other Mustangs, and to get to know fellow members of the club. Many shows include judging events, giving members the chance to prove their Mustang is the best.
