The truth of the matter is that you need get down off that fence and join us over here. There must be a million good reasons to become a classic car fan, but here are the first five that come to mind. Have a great weekend, and keep your eye open for the next car to add to your collection!
1.) Classic Cars are a Solid Investment
As we passed along in a recent post, the value of classic cars is on the rise. The uncertainty and fluctuation of currency is leading to more and more interest in hard commodities, and a 1955 Chevy is as hard as it gets.
2.) Classic Cars are Chick (or Dude) Magnets
Let’s face it, if you are single, you want to draw the attention of the opposite sex. Nothing does that better than a hot car. Get behind the wheel of a ’69 Corvette and watch the quality of your love life soar!
3.) Classic Car Restoration and/or Collecting is a Great Hobby
When you have some spare time on your hands, you often find yourself filling it up by spending a lot of money. When you make classic cars your hobby, you invest your spare time into making money instead.
4.) It’s Patriotic!
No offense intended toward those who choose to buy imported cars, and there are certainly some awesome foreign cars that are true classics. But for a lot of us, there is nothing cooler than the good old American cars that graced the roadways during the heyday of the Detroit “Big Three.” These cars are a part of what has made America great and it’s patriotic to own and drive one.
5.) Classic Cars are Fun
Sometimes when you get all mature and grown up, you lose sight of some of the simple pleasures of life. Driving a classic car is just plain fun, and you really can’t have too much of that, regardless of your age!
