Mercury Zephyrs For Sale

Manufactured for just a few years between 1978 and 1983, the Mercury Zephyr was a compact car that replaced the Comet and was a twin to the Ford Fairmont. These two were the first to use Ford’s Fox platform, which would remain in use until 2004. The Zephyr was available in two- and four-door sedan models, as a coupe, and as a wagon. Buyers could choose from four different engines, including two V8s. By the early 1980s, the Zephyr was on its way out, as Ford looked to make even smaller and lighter compact cars.
