The sporty Opel Manta was manufactured from 1970 to 1988 as a sports coupe and a hatchback. Based on the Opel Ascona, the car was made in two generations labeled Manta A and Manta B. Special editions of the Manta included the now rare Turbomanta, with only 33 units produced, the TE2800, and rally racing versions of the Manta B. Most of the Manta models are not considered rare collectibles today, although they are fun to own. The special editions are tougher to find and desired by fans of Opel.
