The premium model offered by the Studebaker Corporation from 1926 to 1942 was the President. Studebaker revived the nameplate in 1955 and put it into final retirement in 1958. The original President was offered as a two-door roadster and a four-door sedan, and in its second, 1950s incarnation as a coupe, hardtop, sedan, and a wagon. The early Studebaker President models were powered by six-cylinder or straight-eight engines. Today, these upscale cars are important finds for collectors, especially the 1920s models.
