The Kaiser Manhattan was the first car to offer the supercharger. I know there are two different types of superchargers. Does anyone know what type was on the Manhattan?

Wasn't it a McCulloch supercharger? It's a pity that they couldn't get the engine issue fixed but it makes me smile to wonder how many of the tribute car' Kaiser Carabela' are still driving around Argentina!

I believe the Manhattan has a turbocharger the distinction is that a turbocharger powers the air compressor using a turbine that is powered by the vehicles own exhaust.

Did you all know there is a classic car club you can join? You get to drive these amazing cars for up to 5 days. To become a member, you pay a one-time joining fee and there after an annual subscription. After your membership is activated, your only additional cost is the fuel you use. All other costs associated with owning and operating the cars - fully comprehensive insurance, maintenance, repair, storage, security and breakdown recovery - are covered by the club.

I think the models you're reffering to are the 1955 Kaiser Manhattan models. I'm not 100% sure though, I'm just telling you what I recall from a long time ago.
