Does any one know how much I should budget to paint my 1970 GTO. It is rust free and I plan on taking everything apart to be painted?

It really depends upon the paint you buy and if you paint it yourself or not. It varies greatly. If I was painting I would get the metallic flake but if you want authentic, you go with an original color. Just make sure you check around on the paint, prices are different all over.

Yeah, there are different systems used to paint these. The problem with going with a cheaper paint is that you are trading in durability. Are you thinking urethane, enamel or base & clear?

The fact that your 1970 GTO is rust-free is amazing! That really should make it all the more easier to paint. Unless they have trouble finding the color that you want, you shouldn't be paying more than $300 for the paint job.
