I have owned this tough beauty for the last 22 years, and I am the third owner. It is a 1948 Dodge Pickup, the first year of the B1B series. It has 12,493 original miles and has the original engine and transmission that work great. It was originally owned by a plumber that never ended up using for his business but just stored it away in the warehouse. The second owner was a hoarder of a buyer but never did much to any of his cars but store them in an old airplane hangar. He was liquidating all his collection, and I a 15-year-old that had been saving all my lawn service money for a couple of years, was lucky enough to drop by to see all of the old dusty cars, trucks, and WWII vehicles that were crammed in this hangar. It was love at first sight, and I bought it on the spot. The poor old dodge had not been run in years, but it turned over with a new battery. I spent all my adolescence babying and caring for this reliable old beauty. It was rare to have any issues other than the occasional drum brake maintenance. Over the years I have kept it up with a new paint job, a new oak bed with new runners, collected many accessories to update at swap meets and car shows. After twenty years of showing in car shows and winning numerous awards, I never came across another 48 Dodge. It also has some very distinct options for its year, the pilot-house corner windows, floor shifter, original radio, original heater. The engine is extremely clean and has been painted to its original color with decals as well. This truck is not a MINT condition truck, it likes to be driven and has a few small scratches but I would say the overall condition is excellent. I would love to see it go to someone who will appreciate the craftsmanship and style.
