Vintage Cars Can Be Hard To Find
One of the reasons why collecting cars is so much fun is because it involves finding the proverbial needle in a haystack in many cases.
When you do find that perfect old car it is like hitting the lottery in a sense because in most towns there are only so many vintage cars in circulation. There are also limited numbers of people who take the time to restore them.
So, even though it is very rewarding to finally find a classic car that you really want to add to your collection, it can be frustrating as well when you keep looking around without finding what you are looking for.

When you think back to the earliest incarnations of the “horseless carriage” you may feel a little bit sorry for people who designed horse-drawn carriages and bicycles. After all, this new invention was putting them out of business after they had been providing people with transportation for so many years.
However, when you actually study the early days of automobile manufacturing in the United States you find that a lot of the pioneers were individuals who had previously been manufacturers of carriages or bicycles. So in fact these people did change with the times rather than letting the times pass them by.
Muscle Car Fans Unite!
Fans of collector cars in the United States have various favorites and there is certainly no accounting for taste. There are so many different types of classic cars out there that you can spend a lifetime with your head wrapped around one particular type of vehicle.
The above having been stated, a lot of people who are very passionate about collector cars are all about muscle cars. These vehicles are built for speed, and the muscle car mentality has traditionally been to put your time, money and effort into performance rather than unnecessary bells and whistles.

As of this writing New Year’s is a couple of days away and after that we settle in for the cold of winter.

You will often hear people talk about the “good old days” but there is an interesting and somewhat amusing angle to consider along these lines. When exactly the good old days were is not something that is universally agreed-upon in most cases.
If you’re like we are, you probably think that the years that you came up in would fit this description. But of course our parents and grandparents thought that our generation had it all wrong and that they were from the “good old days.” So it all depends who you talk to when it comes to the good old days.
