Dodge DartAs the 1950s were coming to a close the American Big Three recognized the fact that an appetite was growing in the United States for more economical cars. They all began to introduce models to fill this niche, and the Dodge Dart was one of them.

The Dart made its debut for the 1960 model year and it remained in production through 1976. The 1960 and 1961 Dodge Dart line was comprised of full-size cars though they were a bit smaller than traditional full-size models. The 1962 Dart was considered to be a mid-size, and for the rest of its run the Dart was thought of as a compact car.
