The 1984 Chrysler Conquest is a rebadged Mitsubishi Starion with the traditional rear-wheel drive and front engine. The 1984 Chrysler Conquest has a 2.6L overhead-cam engine. A McPherson strut front suspension and independent rear suspension are standard on the Chrysler Conquest. A five-speed manual transmission is standard in the Chrysler Conquest. A four-speed automatic transmission model was also available. The Chrysler Conquest has four-wheel disc brakes and rear-wheel anti-lock brakes. Power door locks and automatic passive restraints comes standard. The Conquest includes an optional automatic air conditioning system which measured temperature at both the ceiling and the floor, with a photosensor to compensate for sunlight.
