The Series models from Land Rover were the first trucks made by the British company. Series I models were introduced in 1948 and continued to be built through 1958. The Series I was a four-wheel drive, off-road vehicle designed by Land Rover to be used for agricultural purposes and some light industrial work. The original models had very sparse interiors, but by 1949 the Series I included options for more comfort. It also came in two-door, four-door, five-door, and two-door pickup body styles.
