The Mercedes-Benz SLR is a modern classic that the German car maker built in coordination with McLaren Automotive for production from 2003 to 2010. The SLR is a grand tourer that was made in coupe and roadster body styles and with a production number of only 3,500. The inspiration for the modern SLR came from the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, a 1955 race car. The SLR included impressive engineering components as well as thoughtful aerodynamics. Special editions included the Stirling Moss and the McLaren Edition. Find one of these modern classics by searching the ads at FossilCars.
