It is really too bad that the stock market crash had such a terrible effect on Hudson cars. I really think they had something good going there. I can only imagine what great cars they would be making now if they had only made it through the stock market crash on steadier feet.
They would probably have been in the same position as the rest of the American car companies. I'm sure they would have had to have been bailed out like the rest of them.
Is that what happened to the Hudson? I think it was a shame that it affected the car industry so badly. But, then again, the recent recession has also been bad for the industry.
The recent recession affected everything, not only Hudson. They were pretty advanced for those times, they were the first to have dual brakes for instance. It's a shame what happened.
