 Vehicle Description
There was a time not too long ago when owning a rod like this meant spending half a million bucks to have Chip Foose build it from scratch. While resembling a 1939 Ford cabriolet, theres really not a single unaltered line on this Coast to Coast Roadster Cabriolet, and thats the real trick: take something old and make it new in a dramatic way. Featuring a spectacular custom paint job, luxurious leather interior, a host of choice options, and big LS2 power, this streetrod checks all the boxes and then some. br / brbr Built just 3025 miles ago, this stunning PPG Chameleon Custom painted cabrio will make everyone at the next cruise night stop what theyre doing and just stare as you rumble into the show. Trust us on this, weve been working overtime in our showroom just wiping the drool of the finish. With swooping fenders, a brilliant art-deco chrome grille, and that vivid paint that practically vibrates off the bodywork, this sucker is poised to collect trophies the way you used to collect baseball cards. Clearly a professional build, the Coast to Coast fiberglass body is superbly executed with crisp lines, extremely flat and smooth panels, and great body gaps that are often a challenge with fiberglass cars. Those certainly appear to be correct 1939 Ford Standard headlight lenses, whose teardrop shape is one of the most iconic early examples of streamlining. Note the chopped and raked windshield, the frenched taillights, and a single back-up lamp that is a design element all by itself. Very cool. And if you ever get the urge to take this show-stopper out in the rain (Yikes! Please Dont!), it also comes with a color-matched hardtop that installs in minutes.br / brbr You cant build a car like this without calling in an artist to build the interior for you, and this one doesnt disappoint. Supportive bucket seats are wrapped in lovely Custom Austrian cream leather thats the perfect contrast to the red paintwork. More like a high-end luxury convertible than a hot rod, it includes all the modern conveniences like A/C, power windows and seats, remote door poppers, a billet steering wheel with a leather rim set atop a tilt wheel, and a kickin AM/FM/CD/AUX stereo system with enough power to light up a small city. A custom center console brings the exterior style and color inside, tying into the dashboard which features a neat set of Dolphin white-face gauges in a polished panel and all the working parts have been cleverly hidden under the dash and out of sight. Theres even a fully upholstered trunk complete with removable panels, and it has enough room for all the trophies this streetrod will be winning in the near future.br / brbr With a car like this, you want reliable power that will cruise with ease at any speed, and the fuel injected 6.0L LS2 V8 motor under the pointed hood is happy to oblige, with an easy 400 horsepower on tap. Neatly detailed with plenty of dress-up, it features a custom painted valve cover (check out that air-brushed smoke!) that essentially covers the entire engine and all the tight-fitting accessories that snuggle it into the narrow engine bay. The transmission is a modern 4L65E 4-speed automatic feeding a custom-fit Lincoln Versailles 9-inch rear end with a 3.50 posi-traction gear ratio thats hanging on coil-overs out back. Front suspension is a Mustang II setup with tubular A-arms and coil-over shocks, a power steering system, and theres a power disc brake at all four corners. As beautifully finished as the rest of the car, the chassis should probably be displayed with mirrors (everything is painted to match, including the entire drivetrain from front to back), although it was built to drive, so maybe thats what you should do instead. The booming Flowmaster dual exhaust system sounds fantastic, from almost any distance, exiting from the rectangular tips underneath the rear of the car. Staggered Foose wheels wear 235/40/17 front and 295/45/18 rear Yokohama performance radials that finish off this killer look.br / brbr A fantastic custom that looks and drives like it cost a million bucks to build. With top-of-the-line components and build quality everywhere you look, this dialed-in streetrod is about as nice as they come. Call today!br/br/
